the Best Free Ebook on Prosperity:
The Science of Getting Rich
I
receive lots of e-mails asking which
books or authors influenced the AttractAnything Video
Series, and which is the
best free e-book on prosperity. While there
are many classic books available on the subject, to
my mind, the best is The Science of Getting Rich by
Wallace Wattles.
I
first read this book about 8 years ago, and I can say
without a doubt that it has changed my life immeasurably.
Wallace Wattles wrote this classic prosperity guide
in 1906, and it was first published in either 1909 or
1910 -- the publishing records are a bit sketchy after
all these years.
But
even though Wallace's book is now 100 years old, the
principles and the techniques outlined in The Science
of Getting Rich are as valid today as they ever were.
The book is heavily influenced by the ancient Indian
tradition of monism, as well as the writings of Spinoza,
Descartes and Emerson.
But
unlike a lot of books on prosperity, The Science of
Getting Rich focuses on practical application. In other
words, Wallace gives you a step-by-step guide to attract
prosperity in your life. Additionally,
the philosophy of the book is based upon principles
that can be easily observed in nature, and are very
hard to dispute.
Wallace
asserts that there is a science of getting rich, and
it is an exact science, just as algebra or arithmetic
are exact sciences. When the laws which govern this
science are followed by an individual, they ALWAYS result
in prosperity -- no exceptions.
Personally,
I had a great deal of difficulty with several of the
points in Wallace Wattles' book when I first read it.
For years, I had assumed that the world I lived in was
one of lack and limitation; where individuals had to
compete for what they desired-- and that there was a
limited amount of anything worth having.

After reading The Science of Getting
Rich I (slowly) began to understand that lack and limitation
do not exist in nature -- abundance is the guiding principle
by which nature constructs itself. I saw that there
was no need to compete -- ever -- because there was
more than enough of everything worthwhile in the world.
This
last concept of non-competition took a while to sink
in (I'm hard headed :-). At the time, I was immersed
in an environment where everyone seemed to be competing,
and everyone seemed to be assuming that resources were
limited, so I did too.
With
time though, I came to see things in a different way,
and to understand that lack and limitation are always
illusions. Nature is abundant in all its forms; and
as a part of nature, human civilization is abundant
as well. It has to be -- it is natural law.
The
Science of Getting Rich opened my eyes to many of these
concepts and helped not only my financial situation,
but my relationships with others, my belief in myself,
and my overall experience of joy and fulfillment in
my life. As Wattles points out, we are meant to be abundant
and experienced the best in ALL areas of life. This
means an abundance of prosperity and money, an abundance
of time, an abundance of love, an abundance of success
and fulfillment, and so forth.
I highly recommend that you read this free ebook. It
is without question the best
free e-book on prosperity available, but
it's about a LOT more than money. It's about TRUE WEALTH.
