A Deeper
Look at the Law of Attraction:
How Exactly Does the Law of Attraction Work?
To
properly use the Law of Attraction
we have to consider carefully the concepts of this
philosophy, and allow them show us a new way of relating
to the world around us. It is also useful to discover
how the law of attraction relates to both scientific
research and our own common sense view of the world.
In
fact, the law of attraction is a philosophy of life
which is based on common sense, and is supported by
plenty of scientific data. The most popular and obvious
expression of the Law of Attraction is the concept
of "like attracts like."
Scientists
are already familiar with this idea, of course, and
most of us even learned in high school that "like
molecules tend to attract." But why is this so?
What "makes" like molecules attract? And
why does the Law of Attraction say that "like
energy attracts?"
Simply
put, the Law of Attraction postulates that "attraction"
is the means by which the universe organizes itself.
It is nature's way of creating and expanding the universe.
And
science is getting closer every day to "proving"
the concepts of the law of attraction, by demonstrating
that all matter is actually composed entirely of energy.
String theory is currently the most accepted concept
for how our universe works in the scientific community,
and it states unequivocally that matter and energy
are just two different states of the same thing.
But
if everything is just energy, what does this tell
us about the world we’re living in? And how
does this relate to the law of attraction? To answer
these questions we have to take a look at what is
known about energy.
One of the properties of energy is called "the
law of conservation of energy," which states
that energy can neither be created nor destroyed --
ever. This tells us that energy simply "is,"
and even though it is capable of changing forms, it
can never be destroyed. As you'll see in a moment,
this scientific law is completely in agreement with
the law of attraction.
Another
property of energy is that it vibrates at a certain
frequency. Energy vibrating at a certain frequency
will produce a metal (lets say iron, for example),
but energy vibrating at a different frequency will
produce oxygen, wood, or even a human thought. The
idea is that, all is energy, and every thing we see
is made up of energy vibrating at a particular frequency
which produces that form.
So
how does "The Law of Attraction" fit into
this picture?
Because
everything we see is made up of vibrating energy,
and all energy has a frequency, we can reasonably
theorize that like frequencies of energy attract,
and bond together to form physical objects. If this
were not so, a molecules of wood (for example) could
be attracted to a molecule of carbon, which does not
occur in nature. So based on this fact, we can logically
postulate that like frequencies DO tend to attract,
and dissimilar frequencies tend to repel.
Which
brings us right back around to... you guessed it...the
Law of attraction.
The
Law of Attraction is a way of understanding nature's
fundamental laws, and using this knowledge to create
our life any way we want. In fact, the law of attraction
says that we are completely responsible for the content
of our lives, and that we create our circumstances
(rich, poor, healthy, sick, etc) based on our deepest
held thoughts and beliefs, both of which, of course,
also have a frequency, just like all other energy.
At
first glance, the ideas of the law of attraction can
sound far-fetched; but on reflection it’s easy
to see how they tie in with our common-sense experience
of the world around us. If we consistently have thoughts
and deeply held beliefs of being poor, for example,
The Law of Attraction maintains that we will create
only lack and limitation in our lives. More simply
put, we can't become rich if our thinking
is poor. The Law of attraction shows us that
nature simply doesn't work that way.
But
forget about the law of attraction for just a minute;
think about YOUR OWN personal experience in the world.
Have you ever met a wealthy person who studied poverty,
and allowed thoughts of lack to dominate their life?
Personally, I've been privileged to meet many very
wealthy people, and although they were all very different
people, they all had one thing in common: their attitude
about wealth.
The
extremely wealthy people I've met all have an attitude
of abundance and prosperity (the same attitude the
law of attraction tells us attracts wealth). Now if
you're skeptical you might think, "of course
they had an attitude of abundance and prosperity --
that's because they were already rich." But the
Law of Attraction shows us that this is looking at
things backwards...
Here's
a question I want you to REALLY consider: "Do
extremely wealthy people have an attitude of abundance
and prosperity BECAUSE they are rich -- or are they
rich BECAUSE they have an attitude of abundance and
prosperity? (hint: the Law of Attraction says that
the second choice is always correct).
And
